I was moved by his portrayal of a loving brother, in the film 'paasa malar', as the ugly guy in 'deiva magan' and so many other characters..!

  Sun TV's Small clippings on Sivaji(Sivaji oru sagaaptham).In that one clipping where Sivaji's Closeup-with his eyes filled with tears but he seemed smiling , moving up his jaw to control the tears.I ran this scene applying to our actors-but no one seemed fit.Kamal definitely would overdo it.
  And I feel Sivaji started overacting only in the late 70s.

  Yeah,I,too,watched those SUN TV's clippings on Late Shivaji.They captured the best of Shivaji,indeed.
  
  And what made me saying "Now...That's acting!" are those from Devar Magan,where Shivaji advises Kamalhassan on not leaving the village and to look after it.Shivaji says"unne nambamel vere yaredah nambuven?"to Kamal.And after that when Shivaji got up to hold Kamal when kamal is nearly slipped.That's abolutely wonderful,so nature and spontaneous.
  
  And of course,the much heated 'golden phrases'from Parashakti.

  Well its easy to pick up the films where you can not say.. 'thats acting...'
  On second thoughts that would be an herculean task to do.

  Remember “PATTIKKADA PATTANANMA” the songs in this film were big hit at that time, the film was big hit as well I had to fight through the queue to get a ticket I was 8 years old then.
  It’s been long time since I seen this film, I must see it again.
  
  I also like “THIRUVILAIYADAL” bit dramatic, but excellent film with excellent songs.
