Ten-twenty years back, in Tamil Nadu, we could see lot of women with both nostrils pierced and wearing nose studs on them. Nowadays the number of such women has dwindled very much. Even housewives in villages are not doing it. Many women who have pierced both nostrils are seen wearing only one nose stud, allowing the other hole to close. Do young (and old) women feel ashamed of wearing nose studs on both nostrils? Also it would be interesting to hear from those few women who are wearing nose studs on both nostrils.
