  Hello.I'm from trichy and vestry used to be our school on the "other side".Mine was Campion,
  it is one of the oldest schools of india 1763 foundation, and served many european orphans and eurasian children.It continues to flourish today. (trichy was where clive got his fame and britain started being a power). vestry is next door to "Clives lines" which is now an army Cantonment.
  St johns Vestry.... the vestry is the adjacent part of a church.St johns church is also another old venerable instittion in the history of christianity in S.India

  Thanks for your response Narayan. I used to be a pupil at Vestry in the early 1950's and I remember Campion school. I was looking for information from anyone who had been to, or still was at, Vestry because it would be nice to hear about the old school. I had three older brothers and two older sisters who also went to vestry at the same time. When did you attend Campion ?

  My brother Ramesh and I passed out in 73 and 72
  and we had a cousin, Sathish Gopalakrishnan who
  I think passed out in 75 or 76 fromVestry.
  I rember the quadrangular sports, then after RSK joined we had the pentangular. The Hockey matches
  between you guys (vestry) was always an interesting one. You know we had the district hockey cup for 25 yrs continously.

  dear dave i am from vestry[1959 to 1970.our principals in my time where mr mulley\\\mr regie fowler\\roy fewkes.i passed out in 1970 and was the proud holder in the 1500 metres,in the pentangular meet [campion\\vestey\\montforte\\stanes\\r s k]i am an anglo proud to be from vestry cherish those days love my school or any one from it.my class mates and all vestry mates will be meeting in madras on 24\\and 25 of july 2004 for 2 days please come,u will know johnny pamplis he was india number one in the 100 metres,he will be there also mr fewkes and family reply to me on my e mail vestry has changed the drive,fountain,pavillion,hedge have all been removed,the church is the same,rem us marching to church reply love bernard
