  B4 criticizing the Pakistanis, take a look at your self’s, Indian fanatics are equally fools as the Pakistanis,
  
  1996, semi finals (world cup), in Calcutta, India was loosing so badly to SL, the fanatic fools could not digest, hence they cause havocs in the pitch my throwing bottles & glasses, IS this human behavior or barbaric behavior?
  
  2002, WI Vs India, WI beat India big time, bother in the test matches & ODI, what did these barbarians do, chuck bottles at the west Indians, do you hear WI / SL fans behave like this??
  
  First take a look at your self’s, then condemn the Pakistanis,
  
  Guys, I just made point here, I have nothing against the Pakistanis or Indian, as we India / Pakis / SL should treat each other’s as brothers/ sisters, but I do not see this happening!

  I agree with what u said.Even in SA, it is the Indian fans who celeberated with a lot of fanfare and a little bit of arrogance.
  
  But still, we are better compared with Pakis!!

  I have never ever identified myself with the wrong doings or with the arrogance of my caste.Infact, i dont identify most of the time with my caste nor have i supported my caste.
  
  If at all i have ever supported any caste, then it is the brahmins(becuase they were being attacked here in fh,,,before the Hindutva Samurais entered the scene),Dalits(becuase i respect them, including Dr.Ambedkar),Nadars(because the Tamil-Hindus owe a lot to them for starting organisations like HM and for backing the Hindu organisations with financial muscle).
  
  Ofcourse i have at times attacked all castes including brahmins and thevars and vellalars..thats incourse of discussions and that too without any ill-feeling or malice.

  A Part of what i was trying to articulate has been well said by Raghu here. You are the 'most learned one' who has completely misinterpreted my questioning of Indians(both living in india and the expatriates) adopting double standards for similar issues.
  
  All that i wanted to emphasize from the beginning was this kind of frenzied display of breast-beating for a Well-deserved, well-played outstanding win by indian team, equating it with victory of hindutva over islam(either explicitly or implicitly), was downright silly and has dangerous consequences both for the game of cricket and generally for the society.
  
  To all those who support/ accept that this kind of fanatical and communal celebrations of india's win over pakis, as a natural and normal thing,i would like to put forward one question.
  
  What if after losing tendlya at 177/4, if dravid and yuvraj added say 25 more runs and then perished?..it would have been 202/6...and 9 times out of ten, the rest four wickets would have gone for another 20-30 runs. So india might have lost the match inspite of tendlya's once-in-a-blue-moon kind of brilliant batting performance.
  
  What then would have happened?
  
  People who accept the fanatical celebrations of the so called 'average indian fan' would have kept quiet or may be even joined in the mayhem that might have followed to the families of our cricket players..isn't that so??
  
  somebody please let me know if i'm not being absolutely logical in this thing. So if india had lost all these patriotic people would have probably said ...'heck! kil him that dravid i say'..wouldn't that be so, or may be throw a peetrol bomb into his house, and maybe some bottles and other 'stuff' into yuvraj's house/??a riot in front of ganguly's house????
  
  
  Let the people who say 'yeah we got to be savage in our victory celebrations against pakis, are in fact, implicitly agreeing that, if indians have lost to pakis, then they should have been maimed tortured and may be killed.
  
  And we call this as the 'Indian culture'???
  
  Whatever happened to civil liberties?
  
  The credentials of people who accuse me of being 'un-patriotic' just becoz i condemned that religious connotations should not be brought into this kind of sporting achievements, is scarcely pure!.
  
  Still i do not have even one of the souls here willing to discuss about how even after acquiring other countries' citizenship, some indians root for india, without inviting any trouble in their adopted countries, and how these very same people, sitting in cushy jobs at countries like US, which actually has a covert and overt relationship with the 'World's Biggest and Most Dangerous Terrorist Network - the ISI', take 'holy-cow attitudes' and scorn upon people ,like me, who are trying to articulate that an individual's taste and preference can't be intruded upon.
  
  And this inspit of the fact that i rooted for india, and my favortes to win the world cup had been the Aussies right from the beginning!
  
  As Voltaire puts it "I vehemently oppose your views and opinions as long as i live, BUT i would give my life to DEFEND your right to EXPRESS it"....is the kind of attitude that should be manifested by people who swear by democracy; sadly, indians haven't grown up to that leagues, atleast most indians, i suppose.

  Ya i think India can put it across the lankans this time around!.
  
  Probably indians might be looking towards sorting out the old 'mad max' de silva early-on and jayawardane.
  
  I think indians can play both vaas and murali better than anyone else in this world cup.
  
  And i sincerely wish i'm not made to eat my words here!
  
  But i think lankan middle order is yet brittle and we can make inroads, provided we mix up the bowling and not allow them to have partnerships.

  I noticed that Indians from all over the world celebrated the victory against Pakistan as if they have win the war against Pakistan. Why is it so? This only a game! It is a friendly game which lead to get more touch with all countries and know each other.
