Dear all;
As Hindus we believe in so many myths, like
1) If a cat crosses (black one) your way, it's bad luck!
2) When u wake up, u should open your eyes at some one who brings luck to u!
3) Some ppl even use to refer to "Panchaangam" for every time a lizard makes a noise
4) "Sevai thosham", apparently if a girl has this, who ever marries this girl is bound to die! due to this belief, so many girls are not married in poor parts of India
In paanchaangam, there are so many descriptions about dreams & the outcome of dreams. HOW MUCH truth is behind all these, I am sure our ancestors had a recent to believe in such things in centuries ago, but...........

Clues that the moron from lunar-gw.zapsurf.com.sg is a spineless Muslim PIG:
1. Kalki Autar
2. (Messenger)
3. Guide and Prophet of whole universe
4. Brahman Hindu
5. 'kalki autar' will be the last Messenger/Prophet of Bhagwan (Allah)
6. prophecy of Hinduism,
7. 'kalki autar' will be born in an island and that is the Arab territory which is known as 'jazeeratul Arab'.
8. father's name of 'kalki autar' is mentioned as 'Vishnu Bhagat' and his mother's name as 'somanib'
This is so so funny, that I can't go on.
Where did you get this from Muslim moron? From an Islamic site?
If you believe is a heaven of 72 virgins and 18 young boys to satisfy your lust, you will believe ANYTHING! LOL

No, I heard it in a swamiji's lecture in 1997. I dont think the copy right belongs to matruvani.
Dear Raghu
>>>yes, very true, but how does one over come this>>
Enquire and understand , then there is no fear. If you know the truth, there is no fear.

fridge,
mv left the shores of vangala viriguda long back and maynt know that it has become a common thing nowadays among the non-brahmin castes to offer biriyani during marriages....
hmm.....biriyani ellam gnapagapaduthi nammalai nogadikkireenga!
In most places at mv's time, only in muslim marriages one used to get biriyani.
even today, the tamil muslims make wonderful biriyani( and the urdu muslims also make....but the process is different and i dont like that biriyani...).
there is something called 'nei soru' prepared by tamil muslims...its sort of plain fried rice with mutton side dish..wowowowow i used to visit one of my muslim friends' home esp to eat the delicacies....
lets hope all those friends dont come to FH ..otherwise i may suffer the fate of our Dr.Immanuel(arsenic poisoning)..haha:-))

Yes, I can I understand that, but getting rid fear is really difficult, even though I can understand the truth, I suppose, it's our human nature, if we do not have these attributes, then we will be god! :)

How is getting rid of fear difficult hwn you understand. Example, while young you were fear of dark because you had the concept that there was ghosts. When you grow up if you understand that there is no ghosts, then how come you still fear. If you still fear then you still have concpet of ghosts in your mind. Understanding is different from practising. Yes infact we are brahman if we overcome these concepts. Everyone's mind is filled with concepts.Thats is why fear, and all other attributes come. If we understand them these concepts fade away and then you are god.

Most of the time we dont want to get rid of our concepts fearing that we will lose our individuality. Well, then suffer with that individuality. If we dont want to suffer our minds should be free. This is the goal of Hindusim. Whether people follow that are not is their problem. It is like books. Books are meant to learn, well if students dont learn it is not the problem of the book.
