can anybody tell me how to do sankatahara sathurthi fasting?

  U need to offer modhakam to lord ganesha, and eat nothing but modhakam, fruits and milk...
  
  once u see, that pirai i guess u can eat..

  You are not supposed to see the pirai on Caturtthi day. Any Caturtthi day for that matter (4th day of the waxing moon) you are not supposed to see the moon!
