Beard and moustache

Has growing of beard and moustache anything to do with hygiene? What tempts guys to grow 'em?
Do girls like it?

Since I have transformed from a mush-man to a mush-less man, I think I have something to say about this. You see most South Indian women would prefer to see men with a mush! You see the heros in S. Indian films, they are invariably with mush. On the contrary, most heros in North Indian movies are without mush! This doesn't mean that most North Indian women prefer to see men without mush.

The fact of the matter is clean shaven men quite common in North, though I would say majority are with mush. It is acceptable in the North (especially in Metros and other big cities) for men to be without mush. I was with mush for a long time and shaved off that last two years back once I moved to North..

Well, 60% of the women in my office prefer to see me without the mush! But most of my friends and relatives want me to retain the mush. The reason is that they have got used see Ashraf with a mush and probably feel odd to see me without it. Moreover they are all South Indians!

In fact I had taken photographs of me with and without a mush and sent them to all my friends and relatives for comments.

I got some very interesting comments and I will post them here if requried....!!!
