Hi , in the US , for summer they have advanced the ime by 1 hour - they call it day light saving , i just wanted to know whether it is the real time . Say forinstance for calculating the nalla neram etc can i rely on this time ?

  You should not use it for anything like Nalla Nearam etc. Calculate the correct time (without summer time) and then add the 1 hour correction to find the local time.
