Hai friends, when we shut down our PC,we get the screen "Windows is shutting down".My friend tells me that we can change this one as per our wish. For example --"Good Bye" or "Have a great day" etc.Is it so?Is it not an installed software?
Can we change the setting? Thanks in advance.

You can personalize your Windows shutdown screen by doing following:
Open the Windows Explorer and find the file called LOGOW.SYS, most probably you should find this file under your C:\WINDOWS folder. Double click on logow.sys file and you will be prompted to choose which program you want to use to open the file. Use Microsoft Paintbrush. If you're a Windows user, you will definitely recognize the graphic as the mundane shutdown screen. From here you can edit the image or change it to anything you want. Make sure to save using the same file name where you find it (ie; LOGOW.SYS).
P.S: As far as I know, this trick cannot be applied to Windows NT.
