  Conscience is the treasure house of all things BRIGHT AND BEAUTIFUL.
  (Acting as per conscience gives us PERMANENT HAPPINESS, uplifting day after day).
  
  Going against conscience started with Adam and Eve (as per Bible).
  (Acting againt conscience gives us peaks of TEMPORARY JOYS, damaging in varying degrees)

  Alcohol is a social and health hazard!
  Smoking is an health hazard!

  Yes, smoking is definitely much more injurious to health than alcohal.
  What makes any thing injurious to health is how much you indulge in. Once in a while, surely gives you enjoyment without injuring your health. But if you get addicted, you had it. For that matter, even food becomes poison when you over indulge.
  Strangely, in the traditional south Indian psyche, liquor is more abhorred than smoking!!
  
  Illicit sex.. once in a while??!!!!
  I sure don't mind having a date with Sharon Stone, or Christina Acquilara, or Aishwarya or Madhuri!!! (Well, as long as my wife would'nt know about it!!)

  Habits are injurious or not?
  
  Habits (good and bad) giving relief, pleasure, satisfaction etc may be considered for indulging, provided:-
  
  They are carried out in moderation or preferably in mild measure,
  Enjoyment exceeds injuries,
  Injuries are transient, recoverable and not permanent,
  Injuries to others (family & friends) are considered indepth,
  etc
  
  Mortals happily engage themselves in party smoking, mild regular alcohol consumption, card games, mild flirting, lifelong-singles-forays-into sex, incompatibly-marrieds-seeking-outside-satisfactions and so on.
  
  Above justifications may probably give solace to the 'mere mortals'.
  (The 'you are not alone' feelings)!
  
  Even with all the 'ifs and buts' ... illicit sex is the worst af all.

  may be u were just kidding.. but still, just think of ur wife saying.."i won't mind dating salman khan or any x,y,z (as long as my husband doesn't come to know)"... sounds very cheap.. right!!! yeah, once a person is married, he/she should be honest to his/her partner..
  all together, all the three causes damage - serious damage to their beloved ones than to oneself... out of all three... Alcohol..to some extent is OK.. i mean, occassionally.. ofcourse, getting adicted is a damage for life time.. for that matter.. adiction in anything is!!!!
