Are there others who would like to reminisce about ads on TV (when there was only DD). The ads I liked most were:
Amruntanjan (poye pochu)
Horlicks (kuddikavenam, appadiye chapiduven)
Kelvinator (or Godrej?) refrigetaror (a couple ages and the thing keeps running)
and countless others.

The ones I hate are-
Shanta tilting wet grinder (the voice was horrible)
Idhayam nallannai (How did Chitra's husband put up with her nagging)
Butler rava (hallo hitler.. only Vanithas cleavage is worth remebering)

Anyone else wants to discuss their favorite TV ads?

  my favourite ad is the johnsons bandaid ad where we have the fish in the acquarium with the saas bahu kinda dialogue
  as for the worst ads there are many but what i hate most is the dreamflower girl as where the girl removes her ring on the wedding day and also the lady commemtators ad.who would even look at the lady when theres such an interesting match going on

  I too couldnot help laughing with pg's " machhan ..mannukulla..." ... heard that.. hated that
  U know.. around coimbatore district another sickening radio ad for another Javili kadai..goes like this..
  
  women1 : yeka, Nee voduthara challa romba yealika irukuthae.. yekae yethathae.... ( tamil + kannada + telugu ...whatever )
  Women2: Namba Erode Chakaravarthi thugil maligailathan..athula ipatha desinu velai kamiyakithae.. .....

  Though it a very long long ago, when DD ruled India ..... still the music of ( extinct) Gold Spot add rings in my ears " She's crazy .. He's crazy .........she's crazy abt ....the Zing thing.. Gold spot.." what do U thing ?

  Does anyone remember "Chakra gold" ad? The traditional lady taking the milk sachet with wet hair draped in towel, her hubby taking away the cup from her hand, bringing kid from school driving the car,while harrowed by kid's homework hubby offering a cup! It was one beautiful picture of marital bliss- the lady depicted in it was my model when I started looking for a bride for my son. Another such lovely ad is "Complan"- the boy asking his mother to sit on the carrier of his cycle, making her put her hand on his shoulder, she exchanging meaningful glances with her hubby- it is so beautiful! There ads that are genuinely appealing, & ads that are nauseating!

  Family senti ads always acieve their goals..look at this aunty Mrs.Pavalamani recalling those.... sweet.Bytheway did U find such daughter-in-law,aunty ?? Guess U were one such daughter-in-law Urself.
