Today the world is facing the threat in the form terrorism, death and destruction...not from non-believers but from the so-called believers of GOD.

I thought Hindus have more tolerance to other religions but Gujarat incident.... I changed my mind. Fundamentalism is gaining popularity among Hindus.

Islam wants to bring all the people in the world under one group by force & fear. It says only their holy book Koran is correct and it is OK to kill non-Muslims in the name of Jihad. It also says that ISLAM means peace. Islam militancy is a well-known phenomenon and I don’t have to explain much.

Christianity.... It also wants to convert all the people into Christianity using MONEY power. Though they say that they are spreading the message of Jesus...i.e. LOVE...actually they spread fear (peaceful terrorism) that only Christians will go to heaven and others to HELL (this includes all non Christians like...Gandhi, Buddha etc). This is their message of LOVE.

I thought Buddhism teaches non-violence. But Buddhist monks kill Tamils in Sri Lanka.

Ultimately today’s problem in the world is because of these religions and by the people who blindly follow them.

I want to ask all the believers...is this what you feel that your religion is asking you to do?

Don’t you have the courage to come out of your religion and say "I will not practice my religion if it (tells me to) harm other people? I want to be a just HUMAN who will obey my country's law and help other people."

I feel that today's problem will be solved if we remove religion from the people's mind. I think Periyaar’s policy is the best policy. I need your honest opinion in this regard without any bias against any group.

To put it simple, one person acts different roles all at one time. This is mystery for the mind to understand. But it is bliss to feel that.

  The time you are in that stage varies in different experiences. Observe in these instances you forget your self. why do you think we want wish to enjoy. That is because we get a glimpse of that state. If you are conscious you find that there is no you for a millisecond and you feel that oneness of soul. That is bliss. but we are emotionful in that state that bliss is overshadowed by it. This is also the state in sorrow but no one wants to expereince that state through sorrow but only through joy.
  
  Some where in the forum our dear friends were discussing about cruel forms of worship. infact those are approaches to get into that trance through pain.
  
  Actually they are all expereincing bliss (non-self state) in those moments and that is why they redo those events again. Like someof us enjoy roller coast rides they enjoy cruel forms of worship (piercing thier body or walking on fire).
  The person who takes a roller coast ride and one you wals on fire both get the same bliss (non-self one soul expereince), only the act differ.
  
  I could not explain this in that thread because unless you understand the non-self state one cannot understand that. All these one understands in stages.
  
  whatever I write hear is only tip of an ice berg. As our great masters say what we feel and express as a limited human soul is like a handful of sand. what is yet to know is the amount of sand in this universe.

  Recently I was observing the bulbs , fans and I got this example for you regarding one soul. All electrical appliances of different forms, sizes, shapes work on electricity. Electricity is only one but it powers all appliances for different work. Similarly is soul. There is only One soul which works thorugh all the bodies (plants, animals birds, human etc etc) doing different work.
  
  
  Fridge, I was also thinking when I was observing the blue sky. The sky is blue for the eyes but at the intellectual level that is not true. we know the blueness is a illusion created by the reflection of light.The same with birth and death. For our eyes we see birth and death but if you think at the intellectual (and spiritual) level, the death is only for the body not for the soul (consciousness).

  all these falling under the banner of emotion and is controlled by a area in the brain makes me understand how it can be seen as the same thing.
  But I also think about funerals here, one finds that people cry out and then are able to joke about the funniest of things. Although they are experiencing very deep sorrow maybe the din of a funeral home causes a state of confusion of emotions and the source sends out Jokes and laughter, sorry I am drifting.

  Pradheep, would this be like when you are feeling faint and you have this wierd numbness just before you black out?
  
  I like the example used with electricity, makes one feel you can connect with another person by touch.

  Well,I have to agree with that statement just by loking what people do in the name of faith and religion.
  
  Did anyone think that there is a possibility that God separated us into many religions,sects,tribes or castes just to see how well we get along together for the sake of humanity?
