I always wanted to know more about Annadurai and his literature. My Tamil is very substandard. Know any english websites that has information about him? Particularly about his alleged links with CIA as stated by T.N.Seshan.

Hi Nisala,
As far as I know, Nalanda was an ancient
educational centre in the Harsha's period which
educated Astrology/religion/logic/illogic to
People.
Karthik,
I am sorry that I could not be able to get those archives. But you did not answer my
questions straightaway.

Karthik,
Did the survey give the top 7 states when TN dropped to 8th under CNA and the top 11 when it(Tamilnadu) dropped to 12th under MK. As you are working towards your doctorate I hope your answer will be reliable.I have been fortunate enough to see most of India including Union Territories with the exception of Manipur,Assam and the others bordering Nepal.Hence I am in a position to make a judgement on the survey. As I am not an Indian by nationality I think my judgement will be deemed to be reasonable.Waiting for your response!

Pillay Ramasamy:
Survey of Indian Industries and Survey of Indian economy are no secret docments. They are published annually by the GOI and The hindu brings out the editions every year. You can get the archive copies and check for yourself.
To answer you in one line, yes, they provide the indicators for every state that topped and trailed TN. Since the survey presents the indicators (and not the opinion of anybody) the question of judging them seems irrelevant to me.
And the Industries minister before CNA's regime, when TN stood 3rd was R Venkataraman, later on the President of India.

Karthik,
You did not answer my question. You have already studied the survey. You should be be able to tell me the positions of the various states in India.I didnt want to know about Mr Venkataraman. For I already knew it.
I have serious doubts about what you say is the survey. Most states in India are backward even today except for a few.To say that CNA and MK were responsible for the collapse will be wrong in my opinion. The Congress party in the Centre did not have any concrete ideas about developing India.Smaller nations in South East Asia had better leaders with concrete ideas.Hence the reason for its(SE Asia's) fantastic growth in the past 3 decades.India on the other hand has failed misarably. The amount of FDI's pouring into India are disgraceful for a nation of 1 billion people. All these because India is not able to sell itself to the investment communities of the world. At least states like Punjab,Gujarat and Tamilnadu and to a lesser extent Andra Pradesh are able to attract some form of investment. This is mainly due to the fact that these states have links with their communities outside India. And the Punjabis,Gujaratis and Tamils have had communities amongst them that have always involved in trade outside India.State governments have also done their bit in the 90s.
On the other hand Central governments of India had no concrete plan whatsoever about its future place in the world.A disaster in the form of non payment of debts had to happen in 1991 before the govt of India reacted and open up its economy that too as a precondition for assistance from the World Bank. And fortunately the h-tech boom in the 90s helped India. Therefore to say that the Congress Party would have done a magnificent job in Tamilnadu would not only be wrong but very distasteful for anyone following TN's political and economic growth.
Therefore stop complaining about CNA 30 years after his death and ask what you can do for Tamilnadu .

Before asking others what are you doing to your country? You people have got free education and help from Government and immediately after education leave the country.First of all see what you are doing.Have you helped any way to improve the life of Tamils living in India? You Enjoing good and luxurious life in UK as a first world citizen and critizising India and Africa as uncultured Niggers. You have no conscience to talk here.

"I have serious doubts about what you say is the survey."
So, why not read for yourself and be educated? I can go ahead and type out all those pages at the cost of my time. Still, you may not believe! So, better read yourself.
BTW, when I stated that CNA and MK took TN downhill, I didn't mean that the congress party was having a great economic vision. They were also pathetic. Just that our "Dravidian" heroes and the leftists like Jyoti Basu were worse. And more corrupt.
"Therefore stop complaining about CNA 30 years after his death and ask what you can do for Tamilnadu . "
Why should I stop questioning him? The only TN or India can improve is when we get sane leaders. In other words the very opposite of CNA. But, going by the electoral performances of Laloo, Jyoti Basu, MK, JJ etc. it looks like a good leader is not going to be in sight any sooner. So, et me atleast expose the frauds.

My Friend.
Are u suggesting that Congress like Indira Gandhi,Sanjay and Rajiv were honest.I am not a graduate of IIT but not that naive either.
Anyway if you are going to wait for a good leader. You will have to wait for time immemorial. All the fast developing countries of Asia have corrupt leaders with the significant exception of Singapore. But they are able to deliver because people are hardworking and pursue material wealth. Most of these countries have large Chinese populations which explains the pursuit of wealth as the primary objective.
Therefore in my opinion the people are more important than the leaders. As long as people(the vast majority) are indolent, uninspiring and concentrate on non wealth creation issues, leaders who depend on their votes will deliver what is needed to win the elections.

Pillay Ramasamy:
Did I ever state that Rajiv et al are honest? They are also very corrupt. But, the likes of CNA, MK took the cake. They were corrupt as well as casteist and hate-mongering.
But I don't agree with you that people are more important than leaders. At least not in the Indian context. India had been a slave society for 1000 years. Such a country needed a leader who had a high regard for his society and who was unequivocal in stating the facts and who had a vision. India never got one like that. At the centre we were loaded with stupid pacifists like M K Gandhi and spineless leaders like Nehru. At TN level, we were loaded with even worst caricatures like EVR, CNA, MK etc.. No wonder India is down in the dumps.
What India needed was someone like Ben gurion of Israel. He was a journalist who in 1997 envisioned an Israeli state in 50 years. And got one in 51 years. He had vision, guts and leadership. That is what a battered nation and people need. Not wimps like what we got.
If only Aurobindo had acceeded to Tilak's request to lead... if only V O Vhidambaram Pillai and Subramania Bharathi hadn't died young...if only N S C Bose had been more systematic in planning....
Well, ifs are what eventually lead to buts. And in our case the stockpile of junkies like EVR, CNA, MK at state level and MKG, JN etc. at national.
