The only interesting thing is that, people think and talk as if this war is targetted particularly at civilians.
And our people tend to believe whatever our politicians and local magazines say.

"You decide"
R,
I have seen several thousands of Iraqi men fighting for their country and getting killed, Why they were fighting. ?
Do you like your Srilankan Tamil people to get killed because they support the LTTE?
I never.

We frequently hear people expressing their views on war. Most of them seem to have philosophical views about war, and statements like, “ In war, there are no winners, every one is a looser in war” or “ War never solves the problem, instead it escalates it” are the most common ones. In most cases, these statements would prove accurate enough to justify their standard use and thus they would psychologically qualify as the universal truths. But extraordinarily, depending on which countries are involved, wars do not always obey the stated universality; and those wise statements voiced by many, would seem self-deceiving, inane and erroneous. People often forget that wars are always waged with serious intentions and there are powerful countries that have ability to wage wars with sheer determinations and overwhelming power and they have clear aims. People frequently fail to carry out an accurate scrutiny of country or countries involved and make such habitual statements against war; they fail to judge the probabilities, of those statements not withstanding the test of their validity and of them turning out to be just fatuous statements.
