Does an intellectually meaningful life consist only of a storehouse of knowledge? Is knowledge accrual the basis for an intellectually fulfulling existence?

  I think not. But knowledge does help in one exerting one's thoughts in an uninhibited fashion.
  Imo, intellegence is synonymous with learnability, adaptability. U tend to be receptive to ideas coming from different areas, and try to relate them with your chosen area. That's where innovative ideas come in. It's a great topic. I think I may have more to add if I ponder on it but am poor in English.

  No, I don't think so.
  
  Intellectually meaningful life has to do with sorting out from the knowledge gathered, the wisdom underlying the various happenings and arriving at the essence - the 'how' and why' of the happenings.
  
  Knowledge accumulation is comparable to the branches and leaves of a vast tree, while intellectually meaningfulness (or WISDOM) is comparable to the seeds.
  
  Intellectually meaningfulness is synonymous with wisdom.

  They are directly related.
  
  More the knowledge accrual, higher can be the heights of wisdom which can be reached. It facilitates an intellectually fulfilling existence.
  
  However, a person can achieve wisdom even from a small collection of all the typical happenings.
