Is it acceptable to have an infatuation for someone when you are nineteen? I mean, if you know that you are almost certainly not going to marry the person whom you have an infatuation for?
It's a nice feeling, liking someone, but it's important to be true to the person you marry, isn't it?
I hope we can have a serious and mature discussion about this.

Alter ego,
First of all, acceptable to whom?...[I think U mean acceptable to the person you ARE going to marry.]
Secondly, infatuation is the wrong word, I feel. I know, at nineteen, LOVE and INFATUATION can be impossibly alike! ...But if you want an honest, and mature perspective on this....we have to use the word LOVE...because LOVE is a more complete expression rather than "infatuation" could work as in the case of Hero(on-screen/etc idols) which is often one-sided fantasy that doesn't really make you any the more mature or wiser for that matter......So if you are talking about real-life human relationships it would be good to dare to use the word LOVE and LOVE does not mean nor has to mean physical all the time....
First of all, be honest with yourself...an infatuation by its own nature denotes something transitionary...a "flash in the pan"...not lasting...[also shallow]...and not worth serious commitment ....so why are U worrying about it in the first place?.......Or are U afraid it may be something more than infatuation that U are having for this person? Ask yourself...some soul searching required and ONLY YOU could come up with the right answer!
