Many of East Indian descent have one time or the other come across Indians from India who give us direct indications that we are less worthy than they are, treat us like untouchables - go away from me. I was not the only one noticing this, in the caste thread someone had indirectly referred to her as a racist. This particular Fhers also noticed her other behaviour showing lack of respect and commented on it on hat Christian missionary tread now taken off. I later found the same. A recent example was on various parts of this very forum, where the same individual tried her at most best to do the same in almost every place. Yes, another fher noticed her false statements (in the recent 'racists attack' thread, also now taken off) and attempt to correct that, but the reasons behind it was not addressed.
If the recent Indians in and from India think they are superior they have it wrong. They state and conditions under which they live indicate to me they are paying for their deeds - what they have done to the lower caste. Looking at the statement of the East Indians, it is clear to be they have gained Salvation. Not only are they united be it Hindus, Muslims or Christians, you can see grace in them which explains a better attitude. It is also better to be serve and be exploited that to be the ruler and the exploiter.
Then we see people more than likely to be from the lower caste from India(taking advantage because we can't prove or disprove it here), the very people fighting caste system who tried to demean East Indians in a particular those from the West Indies, Guyana and Surinam. There are websites on East Indians from all these countries, but only Guyana is selected because it is realised that I am Guyanese. Now she tries to sell what she could well be propaganda as I pointed out in the thread now removed (racists attacks) in the last 24 hours.
What this forum is allowing to promote allows for racism and I will not doubt draw this to the attention of Guyanese authorities when I will also draw their attention to other threads including those removed.
Personally, over the last year I have been harassed on this forum by English people and Indians from India which helped me to make that decision yesterday to leave this forum. The Indian female doing that here is proven to be nothing but a lawless uncultured ....

ii) It is the south Asians I felt were discriminating against me on this forum (look at the references made to certain threads and posts on forum in this thread in the last months), and they ought to know better as to how we ended up in Guyana, Trinidad and elsewhere. Some of us had similar treatments like them in India as I recently come to know, but which they knew of all along.
........
Sorry if I misunderstood anyone.

Urmila,
You should be weary about trusting ppl you meet on the Net. "Anonymity" results in a lot of otherwise repressed feelings coming out into the open. Me personally, I come to this Forum and such sites for the sake of amusement. If you want to "learn" the library is ur best option.

Many people don't even know if there are Indian people in Trinidad...
What I don't understand is why do they think we've lost our culture? Did it fall out of our ancestors ears while they were sailing across the sea? I admit we did adopt some of the Western culture, but that does not mean the Eastern culture is not there...
The South Asians should be the LAST to disciminate against Trinidad and Guyana Indians because where do they think these Indians came from? SOUTH INDIA!! Ignorance is just sad... I feel sorry that these people would moreorless abandon their own. And Tamils... they shouldn't even talk...
West Indians are just as much Indian as East Indians.
Just a thought... I was born in Canada, so what exactly will my decendants be considered to be generations from now?

Not all of them. I recalled clearly on this very forum when I was discussing my terrible experiences in Britain and some other unprincipled, cheaplike, it seems, South Asians(who could not separate personal feelings in such serious public matters, trying to sell me into deep trouble), Maduria Veeran, intercepted and said "This is our Urmila" and that he believed what I said is the truth.

Another was ready to say that people like "us", "scream at the fall of a hat" when it comes to persecution by English people, although she wasn't there to witness anything and was well aware of indebt backgrounds that could have caused such reactions, however insignificat its seemed to her. Her negative and antagonistic approaches towards me were quite consistent when it came to light that I have or also have some North Indian blood.

Look at it this way, in several palces on forum, it is stated that Tamils sell out their own people in Sotuh Asia. We are only an extension of South Asia and far away(out of sight out of mind and more over, they think we are different because they feel we lost culture and they have enough to contend with in ther own homeland)and if they can fight like that in their own county amongst themselves (sects of South Indians amongst themselves, then North and South is another fold of it), then we should not feel too bad.
I am not talking out of hate or dislike, but as far as I am able to be objective.
Any way, its all water under the bridge.

Well to be more precise, should be:

>>Scream "racism" at the fall of a hat

Urme,
Indians are a strange lot in many ways. Did you know South Indians in general, including Indians of course, are the highest annual income earners in the US, even more than the Whites? In terms of education, the % who finish university here is also higher than any other group. Ironically, the same group seems have to little or no interest in seeking political representation. There is not a single Indian senator. In fact, I am hard pressed to think of an Asian senator at all. Whether this is a mere peculiarity of Indian assimilation or Indian nature I am not sure. But I see the same thing in Singapore. Malaysia seems to be the sole exception.

And when you are of a kind you must join together, no matter how different you want to show yourself. It comes out sooner or later. Show me your "friends" and I shall tell you who you are.
Ha, its a state of mind. Come better than this.
