    Dear Sudarshan,

    How are you ?

    "Chikkavane" is fantastic.

I am speechless after watching the "Abhinaya" performance, of course, thank to you for providing the meaning of the song; I could follow the mudras (I have a keen interest on Mudras). My only regret is that I did not put much effort to learn Kananda language, even though I lived in B'lore for more than two years. I was young; the city life captured my attention on various other recreations, rather than being clever and using time in an insightful way. With these songs I could recollect the language, a bit which is still stuck in my memory.

Even though I am not into classical music, your explanations and choice of songs you post make me visit this thread quite often.

Thanks again Sudarshan for your fabulous contributions, those which not only provoke interests, at the same time they all are informative and attached culturally. Such explorations take us deep into the human intellectual achievements.

With all the hatred spit around us and showering as hot molten lava above our heads, such explorations bring optimistic in attitude.

Have a wonderful day (and I have started to listen to ‘Narayanana Nene’ album).

    Dear Karthik

Thanks a lot. Your keen interest to know the Mudras of dance sequences is appreciated very much. For enjoying and feel the essence of the song, one should know the meaning of the song. If you know the language of the song, the effect of feeling is more enjoyable. In this direction, I am putting little contribution to provide the meaning of the song, though it may not give real effect. But you have missed out a golden chance of not learning Kannada during your stay at Bangalore. Thanks once again.
