Kadappa - How is it made?

Dear Friends,
I am a new member. While surfing, I saw the following posting by a member.
"Sunday "kadappa" (Awesome sambar like thing with poondu. aaha.. mikka suvaiyaana onRu)"
Can someone give me the step by step method to get best "Kadappa", which is used to enjoy in my childhood in selected hotels in Tanjore Dist?

Moong dal 1/4 cup, 1 or 2 potatoes. Pressure cook both. Then mash them. Let there be some lumps in potatoes. Add salt and turmeric to this mix. Pour oil into a pan. Fry one chopped onion, 2 or 3 chillies, 2 tomatoes and curry leaves. Grind 2tblsp. coconut, 2tablespoons pottukadalai, 1/4 tsp fennel seeds, ginger, and 1 green chilli. And this to the potato. Pour everything into the pan and boil. You can add some cloves of garlic with the potatoes and dal and cook it.
