Does anyone know how to make sun dried green chilli. This is then fried in oil. Which variety of chili should be use? Is the chilli cooked with yogurt before it is dried.
Also, does anyone know how to make sun dried bitter groud. This should also be fried in oil. Should the bitter groud be cooked well before it is kept in the sun.
Thanks.

Sun Dried green chilly
The small variety of green chilly is usually used. Make 2-3 holes on the chilly with a fork and put it in curd for 2 days. 3rd day take it out and sun dry during day time. In the evening put the chillies in the same old curd. repeat it for 2 more days and then sun dry well and keep in airtight containers
Bitter Gourd
Cut into .5cm thick round slices. Slice green chillies into half. rub some salt and turmeric. Put it in a heavy bottomed pan and cook for a few minutes till a good steam comes and the colour changes. Then sun dry it.

Don't the chillies require to be salted?

Thanks for correcting me. Yes, we need to put salt in the curd.
