Tell me some receipes with beans

I am tired of only doing beans poriyal. Can u teach me something else?

U can try this...
Cook 1/2 cup of Thur Dal.
Grate 1/2 cup of coconut and grind with 1 tspn of cumin seeds and 3-4 green chillies adding enough water.
Chop Beans (1/2 lb).Cook with turmeric powder and just enough water to cook. When beans is cooked add the cooked dal and ground coconut and salt.
U can adjust the conistency and cook through.
Crackle mustard seeds, urid dal and curry leaves in oil and pour over the curry and serve with rice or roti.

Hi AJ,
I often do this quick & healthier version of beans called Hakka Beans.
Just chop fresh beans into 1 inch pieces & steam (or microwave) till just tender. In a pan heat up 1 tbsp. gingelly oil ;add 2 finely sliced garlic pods & 2 dried red chilly broken into 2 bits. Saute till garlic turns light brown then add 1/2 cup chopped spring onions, the steamed beans & required salt. Toss well & cook for just about a minute or so to let the flavours mix. Serve after 15 mins. This goes great with just rice & rasam. Enjoy.
