How to make Perfect BADAM KATLI?

Dear Friends,
For this Diwali, we tried Badam katli. But we could not get the real taste and finish of what we get in Shops.
Can anyone share their experience who were really made it?

Here is the right way to do it.
Almonds - 300 gms, soaked in water for 4 hours.
powdered sugar - 225 gms
saffron - crushed pinch
varq - 1 or 2 sheets
Remove almond skins and grind on a stone grinder without water to make a paste.
Mix with powdered sugar and pour in a heavy bottom kadai. Stir and cook on a slow to medium flame for 7 - 10 minutes or until the mix rolls as a soft mass.
Add saffron and mix well. Pour cooked mix on a greased steel or marble table top and roll lightly but firmly with a heavy rolling pin, to a desired thickness.
Place silver sheets on top marking with a sharp knife tip in diamond shapes. Run knife blade through the marks and cut in pieces.
