Hi,

Can anyone tell me homemade medicine for mouth sore?

My husband gets it very often and the drs. are telling(standard thing) it is because of some infection. Is there any way or food to take for avoiding or atleast curing the same?

By the way, taking narthangai with curd rice during this time is good for the sore even though it does not contain any chilli powder, just salty narthangai.

  The most simple remedy will be fresh water
  Make your hubby drink upto 2-3 litres on a Sunday (or any day when home).
  
  Repeat the procedure after every visit to the cube room.
  The whole of sunday morning would be fine...
  
  Make sure, that the color of the urine is the same color as water.
  
  maintain, regular 8 glass a day regime...
  
  Lesser outbreak till none of mouthsores....
  
  others immediate help will be curds with kalamata olive oil (a teaspoon of this greek oil) and rice with normal salt intake..
  
  The method described above is wholistic for long term non-break out of mouth sores as well as other infection prevented sore break out.

  Hi R,
  for mouth sores one can chew dried coconut,the milk from it is good medicine.chewing manatha thakkaali keerai(raw) also good home medicine.Usually mouth sores form because of B complex deficiency and also more of stress.GLY-OXIDE LIQUID gives good relief.You can use this liquid with your paste while brushing .

  Thats a good one tip on manatha thakkaali keerai(raw)(solanim nigrum)and this tip has gone into my ethnobotany database Tamilian food as preventive health care remedies.
  
  Iddiappam passed some to my wife, when he visit our company's library but my Fat Greek Wife add her normal olive oil to be a salad and top;laced it up with Top brand appalam.

  By the way, Devi, I dont think manathakkali keerai is not available here in NJ, as far as I know. I heard that my mother saying about this keerai.

  Take a piece of vasambu (Acorus calamus) which you can get in "naattu marunthu kadai" or any ayurvedic or siddhar vaidyasaalai. Continuously scratch it on a piece of stone (just like you do to make sandal paste) until you get a thick extract. Apply this extract twice daily to all the affected parts in the mouth and let the saliva flow out for some time.
  
  Mouthsore is generally caused because there is something wrong with your stomach. Choose a holiday an be at home on that day. The night before take a piece of kadukkai (Chebulic myrobolan, Ink nut) and soak it in water overnight. Early morning grind this into a paste and drink it (it is a tough experience to drink it!). Do not eat anything the whole day except drinking a lot of water. You may have to visit the loo many times. Next morning break your fast by drinking salt-less conji (raw rice over cooked with a lot of water).
  
  Nowadays there are modern medicines for purging, available in pharmacies. You can use them also. But take a day off and do the purging. You will be grateful for it.
  
  Reduce your intake of non-veg food.

  Hi, being a frequent sufferer, I will give you a list of remedies that work for me.
  This condition is caused by the following:
  1. B complex (esp B12 deficiency) in vegetarians. As you may know B12 is not a plant produced substance found only in animal products. Yoghurt with active cultures has it. so eat that a lot if you are a vegetarian like me. Also take a high potency Bcomplex or B12 supplement regularly.
  2. Too much stress will also cause this condition. Don't know how to solve this yet!!
  3. Also mouth infection due to oral hygiene issues. Brush after every meal, floss and use an antibacterial mouthwash.
  I use the OTC topical cream called "Orajel for mouthsores" on the sores to reduce the pain when this happens.
  My mother advised me to drink a lot of milk and eat high protein foods to stop mouthsores -don't know the logic behind this, but I do it as there is no harm to it. Hope this helps you.

After supper one should not have any stimulating beverage or soft drink. During the first few days of therapy, one may pass urine 3-5 times within one hour after drink-ing water. Some may have even loose stools. But in a short period everything comes back to normalcy and symptoms of relief from the disease will be seen. Persons suffering from arthritis and rheumatism should take water therapy three time s a day in the first week and thereafter may practice it once a day. While practicing water therapy water should be taken two hours after each meal and not before that.
  A boy who followed this therapy sums up his experience thus:
