Onion paste

Please...can any one of U tell me how to remove the raw smell while preparing fonion paste for gravy....also pls tell me for tomato paste

Hi Sheeja,
First fry onion in little oil(you don't have to fry till golden brown just fry for few minutes) once cools down make a paste out of it.
About making tomato paste,make a raw paste and when you prepare gravy in the initial-step after seasoning, put onion paste fry for a minute and add tomato paste fry in medium heat for 5 minutes and follow your regular method for rest of the cooking.This way you won't get raw smells.
