I know it has chickpeas in it, and potatoes. It is yellow-brown in color and is spicy. Please help me! I am a vegetarian in need of some variety, and i love this dish!

  Chana is a taking process but it is that easy.
  
  ING
  
  chana 2 cups
  onion 3
  tomato 3
  green chillies as per ur taste
  ginger,garlic
  cinnamon,bay leaves
  chana masala 4 spoons
  dnania powder 1 spoon
  chilli pow as per taste
  garam masala half spoon
  
  
  METHOD
  Soak chana overnight and cook it(or u can buy ready to cook chana available in cans in all super markets)
  
  Take oil in kadai put cinnamon etc,then put finely chopped onions,green chillies and then chopped ginger,garlic,fry it till light brown in colour,then add finely chopped tomatoes fry till the mixture looks like a gravy then add chana.Add a little water then add chilli,dhania & chana masala.Add salt and cover the kadai.cook this in sim.Stir it frequently.After 20 min the gravy and chana mixes well.Finally add garam masala stir fo some mins .Garnish with corriander leaves.Thatit.Try this and let me know the result.

  Hey you can also make the onion,tomato,garlic,ginger and chillies as a grind mixture and then add to the oil and then chenna to that . so that it give a good thick gravy. Try it out. If you need you can add half portion of onion to the mixture and hafl to the pan . It also will taste well.

  My favorite version is almost exactly the same as the above, but I also add a tsp of anardana/pomegranate seeds and 1/2 tsp of amchur/mango powder.
