So here are the rules. You get to post just one couplet from your favorite ghazal, with a translation into ENglish, and why you like the stanza, if you'd please.

E.g. I like..

"dil leke apne haath mein kehte hain mujhse voh
kya loge iska daam bataanaa sahi sahi"
(I heard this in Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan's 'kehna galat galat')
