When I walked into the theatre, I expected the film to be atleast in the time-pass category, but was surprised to find out it was just pure candyfloss. A total letdown..and by far the worst I have seen of Chackochan!
It is suppossed to be this intense divine love story between Chacko n' Chaya...but turns out to be a boring excessive "panjara"...to the point even the audience starts feeling embarrassed. The story starts with Chackochan announcing.."Today is the 100th day of our elopement"..big deal!!..and then lots of "kuthi-marayal"..a song and again the same thing.Everything happens in a beachside bayhouse. The whole set seems so empty and lifeless, totally lacking logic... for the entire first half there are only five people in the film...Chacko,Chaya,Srividya,Lalualex and that little tamil girl!!
The best performer by far was Indrajith as Andre..towards the end u feel he's the real hero. He has all the ingredients to be a real super star.
Chackochan reakky burdens the audience in extracting undeserving sympathy...his role is so hollow, it starts to irritate after a point. Chaya singh has done well..SHE CAN ACT!
The songs and background score are youthful and peppy and positioned well. Ousepachan deserves a pat on the back for that. Really the highlight of the film is the camerawork sans the script...whoever has handled the camera has done it exceptionally well! That's it..Other than that the movie really sucks!!It's worser than gramophone!! ;-) In that atleast u could adore that cute Meera! In this, even that is not possible, 'cause she dumped the crew at a very early stage!! Now I understand , why they were dying to get Meera into the film...to spoil her career!!
In the end they show some bloopers that happened during the shooting. Frankly I got the impression it telling me.."30 Rupa pattichae"!!
