  Yes! life is precious, which you get once from the mighty. It is full of joy and happiness but it had some bad time also. When you taste bad time then only you can enjoy the joy of life.

  Yes "Life is beautiful is the worst movie ever done by Fazil. Another thing, have you guys ever seen the movie "Dead Poet's Society" the one in which Robin William acted. Part of "Life is beatiful" is an absolute (probably distorted) "cut and paste" from that movie.

  Every story should have begining, middle and an end. And it should progress from one stage to another. This story since it was copied from Dead Poets society, lacks such momentum.
  
  Several sections of the story was added simply to lengthen the duration of the film. Fazil clearly seem to have been impressed by Dead Poets Society. Instead of focusing on the core issue of an open-text-book education system. Fazil has wandered into the usual sappy mallu masala like love triangles. the neighbours, usless and lame office scenes. Why did Bala ask the boy out to the movie. and what happened? Why was that scene put in there if it had no purpose.
  
  We certainly have a long way to go before we make good films.

  When I first watched the movie, I thought it was crap. It was intolerable. Recently i was forced to sit through it again. Then started realizing that it has something good to it. It is not all that bad, when you know wat to expect. Like someone else pointed out, neighbours were the worst part. There was no need for them except for the main characters to talk out loud their thoughts. All those discussions about sex made it look like it is a sex education movie. Maybe that was what the writer thought: to tell the conservative kerala society something about sex. The office scenes had some purposes - even though very much in love, the wife didnt want hus to take decisions for her, he never did that except in this one office situation which proved a mistake.. blah blah.. again to tell the public that a high thinking man let his wife has her own heart and head and not smash every roadside romeo she has to encounter (which an average malayali does). The sister-in-law's issues, the writer left more or less open ..for us to guess... asking to out the boy for movie was to provocate her family.. like she tells him the previous night that she would be a differnt person the next day , and her b-i-l need not worry about her attraction to him aanymore... probably it was just her another stunt another tactic... it is not made clear.. even lal and varma keep guessing in the end.. though seems like that.. after the li'l sister gives back her sisters' sari to lal she never behaves like she is attracted to him... the scene were those boys tell lal that his sister asked one boy for a movie: lal's expressions were simply unbelievable . he is dilemma. He has taught his students about many things and tried to be unconventioanl. but now his siters' behaviuor he is not particularly happy about. but he cant react like a conservative brother... he has put up a show and be the same teacher that students have seen in school.. and Lal did it. No other human could have performed it like that.

  Just watch 'Dead Poet's Society' then you realize where 'life is beautiful' came from. Fazil took a 'beautiful' movie and made a cheap copy. He even stole some of the 'directorial genius' moments from the movie (Robin williams wistling and he standing on the bench). When one take a western theme, one should realize that the movie is made for a different culture. Also he shouldn't have taken the name 'beautiful mind', which is another wonderful award winning movie.
