guys look this review by sify ..they saying tht this movie is the most idiotic and lamebrain film in recent times ....

Malayalam director Vinayan is once again back with his new film En Mana Vaanil which is a remake of his Ooma Penninu Uriyada Payan in Malayalam. The problem with Vinayan is that he thinks the audience are fools and tries to take them for a ride. Why can’t he stop making films, which tries to cash in on a person’s physical or mental disability? And the way he adds pathos to the story like those films of the 50’s and 60’s will make today’s audience laugh in disgust

It is the most idiotic and lamebrain film made in recent times. Both the lead artistes from Malayalam Jayasurya and Kavya overact. Kavya’s body language is more of a mentally instable person rather than that of a deaf and dumb. She is overweight and needs a good dress designer (incidentally her brother has designed her clothes). On the whole the film follows a comedy track in the first half, which later peters out to be a steamy tearjerker with a lot of violence. The silver lining on the otherwise intolerable film is the melodious songs tuned by Illayaraja. Oscar Ravichandran is the producer.

vinayan sir why do u do this to us ..please go back to ur comedy movies ...

  i got admired to Robin thirumala seeing Indraprastham. I wondered how he got such good thread, even though the movie was boring. And very recently i have seen "The Rising Sun" . Now I got the source.
  When i was going through the video cassetes here,
  i have seen this picture on the cover..
  the teacher (robin villiams) stands on the table and students are sitting on their seat...
  remebered the scene in fazil's "life is beautiful"
  immdtly took the movie "the dead poets society"..it was copied
  Anyway Priyans copying was far better than these two items..

  manchitrathaye is not copy..i hope ...bec the story is by madhu muttam..really his house is close to my house in kerala.. half of the movie shoot there ..when they talk abt shobhanas old life ...the flashback..the illam and the school is near my house ..i hope its not a copy bec it look like originated from kerala

  When manichitrathazhu was released, AT Kovoor (or his relatives) claimed that it was stolen from his book about his experiences in Srilanka. He is a 'Yukthivadi' and he was very interested in psychologically analysing peoples with 'prethabadha'. However, I have not read this book and donot have much idea whether his claim is true or not.
  
  Now, regarding Ayalvasi oru daridravasi...after watching so many good comedy movies by Rafi-Mecartin and Siddique Lal, if you watch this movie now, you may not like it that much.
  When I saw the movie, it was during my schooldays and I liked it immensely.
  Another such movie was 'DhimTharikidaThom' directed by Priyan. Starring Mukesh, Sreeni, Raju, Nedumudi, Shankar It was also a good comedy.

  really abt manichitrathaye ..i heard it was a real story ..happend near my neighborhood...bec tht time when the movie was released there was talk tht the kid[shobana] real teacher who teached her in the school was still alive ...the school is a catholic private school...now navya nair is attending there ....prethabatha story is very related to our cult ..so i don't see its a copy

  But first they have decided the name "manassinu praayam noottiyanpathu(150)"..
  and ramanadhan's role was for Vineeth.

  'yodha' is copied from 'golden boys' and like kala said 'nirnayam' is copied from 'fugitive'..these two movies were by santhosh-sangeeth sivan team..there was another movie by them 'gandravam' mohan lal starrer...boring movie

  I thot akashaganga was made after taking permission from BennyPNayarampalam. I maynot have read the real story...Regarding vasanthiyum lakshmiyum pinne njanum, Sartchandran wayanad was given 5 laks (that is what i read), after he went to court.
  And people say Oomappennu was 'inspired' by 'Sollamalai' a tamil movie.

  Any way YODHA was the best action & best comedy movie, yodha was one of the classical malayalam movie,it dubbed to Tamil called 'ASOKAN' also it dubbed to Hindi 'DHARM YODHA'. Yodha is one of the southern hits.

  I don't believe that Yodha a classical movie..it was a good entertainer. The music was done by AR Rahman and at that time he was not famous.
  Yodha and Johnywaker released same time?
  I remember in both of the movies, at the climax,
