"Kadhayattam", Mohanlal's tribute to the best characters in Malayalam literature has evoked huge acclaim, even from hard-to-please critics back home.

Mohanlal enacted Soori Namboothirippad (from Indulekha), Bheeman (from Randaamoozham), Chembankunju (from Chemmeen), Chandrakkaran (from Ramaraja Bahadur) and more on stage at the Senate Hall in Thiruvananthapuram on the Keralappiravi day.

Big guns like M T Vasudevan nair, T Padmanabhan, Hridayakumari, K G George and D Vinayachandran have showered praise on the stupendous performance, wherein Mohanlal transformed himself into ten complex characters in the space of just 45 minutes. Check out the November 2 edition of Malayala Manorama for details. They had Mohanlal all over the edition.

Further, Mohanlal was in Bangalore on November 2 to seek the blessings of Kannada icon Dr Rajkumar, before shooting for his first Kannada movie "Love", directed by Rajendra Singh Babu. Mohanlal plays a Malayali taxi driver in Dubai, who plays some kind of "soothradharan" in this love story, where Aditya, son of the director himself, plays the hero. Rakshita, last seen in Silambarasan's "Dum", is the heroine.

  Its a Political Sataire.
  Vammanapuram is not connected by any bus service and the Panchayat President (Jagathy) under pressure decides to launch a bus service. Lever John (Lal) is the conductor of the bus. Hooks the Panchayat Presidents daughter (LAxmi Gopalswami)...

  lal has lot of offers....vamanapuram seems different..he has another winner in shajis film..he plays an unconventional professor in sanskrit college....
  
  mammos stand is okay..but i dont think he will get any good offers....he may get one or two....it will be really diheartening to see ikka playing supporting to dilip and pritvi and co..

  Who will play supporting role to who will be decided in due course of time! Prithvi, Dilip & Co can't ride on their luck for ever. Beyond a certain point one's performances counts and not just luck. It would require a mammoth effort from these young crop of actors (Dileep not included, he is 35+). Mammooty has reached here with solid performances and to me he looks good for another 5 years. He maintains himself so well. He is around 52 years of age and see how he looks, nearly perfect! The screen presence that he commands is amazing which I am afraid none of these new generation stars have.

  I had seen that mammu interview along with K Madhu.
  He didn't tell that he will act in father role :)
  
  One journalist asked him, will u act in father roles in future?
