  hahaha JIBI, now tell me how can a film be flop which ran more than 100 days (praja), Onnaman is not a flop according to leading magazines. Its been three weeks and that film is number one.

  Praja was a hit when u r counting the cumulative days it run in all over kerala.
  
  Praja seen total 210 daylights in all over kearala. i mean 1 week in 29 theaters and onther extra week in trivandrum.

  jibi said the perfect answer to ur question...also when people hear its a lal film everyone wants to see it...so everyone goes and sees it...but why dont u take a survey on how many people actually liked praja, onnaman, or whatever ur talkin abt?
  from wht ur sayin it seems like i hate lal or sumthin..i dont~he is a superb actor...all im sayin is that he needs to stop takin ONLY these big tough guy roles...he can atleast try to do one normal role like he used to

  Onnaman, to incur huge losses!
  Mohanlal’s big budget Onnaman costing Rs 4 crore by the time it reached the theatres, is proving to be a wash out! After being houseful in all-releasing centres for the first two days, the film started sliding from the third day itself. The word of mouth on the film is that it is nothing but a rehash of his earlier ‘don’ films like Rajavinte Makan, Aryan, and the recent Praja. ‘Good Knight’ Mohan and his Shogun films, the distributor will lose almost Rs 2 crores.
  
  It is a very bad news for Mohanlal whose films like Praja, Company and now Onnaman has flopped in his home state. Swargachitra Appachen, the distributor for Praja had lost Rs 1.5 crores on the film, while Chandana who had purchased Company for Rs 52 lakhs (the highest paid for a Hindi film in Kerala) will lose Rs 25 lakhs! Today Mohanlal’s superstardom is at stake and everything depends on the Shaji Kailas directed Thandavam due for Onam.

  Hey guys,
  
  When I heard that Mohanlal was coming out with another big movie, I was really excited. There are no theaters around here so me and the family drove 2 hrs to NY city to watch the movie on Sunday.
  
  I cannot believe that I spent so much time and money on such a crappy movie. As much as I would hate to say it, this movie will make you feel like you're an intelligent individual after you find out how stupid the screenplay is.
  
  The movie did not hold my interest in the beginning until Mohanlal came in and threw some dialogues. It was actually going good until the second half of the movie, which was disappointing.
  
  There was no reason for Remya Krishnan to be in the movie at all. I mean what purpose did she serve: NONE! Even Kavya Madhavan's role was not needed. The only important people in the movie was Mohanlal and well, Mohanlal, because the movie was tailored around him and not the plot. Varghese actually was the one other performer that did his role justice. Mohanlal's son should get into sports and not act cuz he just plain sucks.
  
  Overall, like it's been said before, Mohanlal should not drive the movie. He should let the plot drive his role. He is doing too many larger than life roles and it's killing him. This is in no way against you Vince, but the movie is so bad that it is not even funny. It insults your intelligence.
  
  BOTTOM LINE: AVOID and save your money.

  haha y did u mention my nam man?? I like him and I watch his movies. If his movie is bad i will say its bad. But i never find his acting is bad in any movies. probably the story sucks. anyway can't wait to see this movie, we don't get to see this untill june.
  
  Remember mohan lal has around 10 movies in his hands this year. and people says dileep don't have no date untill 2003?? ngyahaha.

  for heaven ake mohanlals son does not suck,if u say that his son should go for sports u come n act in the movies.i bet u wont be able to do it.n if ramyakrishnan was not there u would say there is no heroine n complain so just shut up .n by the way the total cost of onamman was hardly 2crores.i know it because im from the circle.by the way there is no one come enough to replace MOHANLAL.
