I have lost touch w/ malayalam movies for about 3 years now. I am an ardent fan of mallu movies.
can you list some great comedy movies.
I like movies like kireedam, urvashi's thalayanamanthram, kallipaatam, etcc...
I heard ustad, friends etc..are the latest ones. Are they worth my time to watch?
One more question, I recently watched the tamil movie "thodarum" which I had seen in malayalam once before. i am unable to recall the name of that malayalam movie. I think it starred jayaram and shobana.It is a story where shobana is married to jayaram and is very suspicious. She even travels in the same bus w/ jayaram when he goes to work. She then sees jayaram talk to some female in the bus, shobana then dressed in pardha slaps the female and runs away.. in the end she dies of some disease adn lets jayaram marry some vixen who works w/ him.
Anybody recall this story?? could you please name the movie?

  friends...the first half is really funny but the 2nd is unable to sustain it and a dubious ending.
  i saw pathram which ws good. i also last month saw a ghost film 'akasha ganga' which i thought was exellent. can some one please tell me the name of the first ghost or both of them please.

  The name of the movie you are referring to w/ shobana is "kunkumacheppu"
  The actor of the movie is manoj k jayan and not jayaram. Like priya mentioned, it was dubbed in tamil as "thodarum" ...not worth watching the dubbed version.

  'Swapnakoodu' was adipoli. Meera Jasmine and Prithviraj steals the show and good music from mohan sithara. 'Nammal' had nice songs and 'CID Moosa' was hilarious comedy with fast songs.
