Movies like ek duje keliye or Maine pyar kiya can never become a hit in malayalam(with exceptions). Why? What can be the reason? Is it b'coz we dont give much importance to love?

  because most of the time these love films(in hindi and tamil esp.) are jus repeated stories with different up beat music, different actors actresses which is all soppy love...instead of meaningful.....and plus they include stupid scenes and things that dnt even happen in real life like some film that had vijay and some next northie she looked like she was gonna seduce a freaking monkey..all blowing kisses and what not...it jus doesnt make sense...and this sorta sh!t cnt work out in malayalam films....people myte disagree with my point but...oh well thats what i think..no offense

  thats the way malayalam films are different from others! its got a good story plot in the first place and it is very developed later.
  But in hindi movies except from a few as said in the start of this discussion, all others have more or less the same basic plot!
  Either hero/heroine is rich or vice versa!!

  malayalees thinks and acts that they are more mature and more practical. they freak out to see
  sexual movies which showed a rapid growth during the past several years. This may be due to the social setup prevailing in the Kerala Society.
