once in an interview with manorama Lal Jose said abt his dream project. The name of the movie is French Cafe. it is his dream to do a movie like hollywood movie Sound Of Music. he said his movie was a musical thriller. but now he doesnt hope to do it bcos the taste of malayalees r different and itz a big budget movie and hez not ready to sake another producer's life after the failure of his favourite movie Randam Bhavam. Now hez workin on Chekavar and then later Pattalam with Mammootty. Chekavar will commence very soon with the script writer being the hero. Balachandra Menon also does a role. Music by Vidyasagar

  it was his dream and they almost started the script ..after tht randam bhavam bobmbed and he didn't want to risk with a big budget ... yes he said tht malayalis taste are different ..not malayalis indians taste ..look wht happend most of the hindi movies are came this year are remake of hollywood movies...even they didn't change the story a little bit ..even some of the have the same scenes from hollywood movies ...look at wht happend all bombed ... bollywood producers has lost 100 core by 9 or 10 movies inspired from hollywood ..

  MEESA MADHAVAN , directed by LAL JOSE , with DILEEP & KAVYA MADHAVAN in the actor & actress roles , respectively , became the RECORD HIT OF MALAYALAM FILM INDUSTRY .
  In a single theatre in ERNAKULAM ( not sure of the name ) , MEESA MADHAVAN crossed 1 CRORE within 158 days . This is the first malayalam film to cross 1 crore within a short period in a single theatre .
