Bollywood’s enfant terrible Salman Khan, at times, would appear to have the luck of the devil when comes to his close shaves with the law, but this time it appears that his luck just might have run out.
In the early hours of 28th Saturday, in Bandra-suburban Mumbai, Salman Khan was driving back home in his Toyota landcruiser in an inebriated state. When he tried to negotiate a sharp right turn to the entrance to Hill Road on his way to Bandstand, he temporarily lost control of the car and drove over four people sleeping in front of a bakery. One of the victims has died while the other four are critically injured. Salman however flouted the law yet again by failing to give any medical assistance to the injured and ran away from the scene and hid in his house at Bandstand. This despite the nearest hospital being on the opposite side of the road! A case of homicide was filed against the actor and the police went to arrest Salman but the actor was said to have escaped from the back door of his house and is currently absconding from the law.
In a more bizarre turn of events, after hearing about the incident brothers Arbaaz and Sohail Khan turned up at the scene to try and pacify the owner of the bakery and other people who had gathered there at the time. But instead of being of any use to the situation, it is understood that Arbaaz Khan started a fistfight with one of the people at the scene.
