I don't know how many fans have appreciated this movie as I wish to do. I never considered this as an entertainment. rather a lesson to everyone. Hats off to Sathyan, Srinivasan and Mohanlal and other contributors.

This teaches a lesson how we should be consious about us personally and comes down heavily on relations and at first like might look pessimistic. In the end, when we face such experiences, we can feel this movie is realistic rather than pessimistic.

The family gives him a rousing welcome(Varavelpu!!) and expects that he is going back again to gulf to serve the family. But Lal fed up with Gulf life expresses his desire to stay in the home village for doing some business and reveals that his Visa expired.

Immdediately Janardhanan takes him away and indroduce him to his partners and convince him to invest his money in Liqour business. Lal agrees and reveals it to Oduvil. Uduvil criticises him and convinces him to start a AC restaurent. Lal agrees and tells it to Sangaradi. Sangaradi tells him in private bad about brothers and asks him to invest in Cocunut (Parambu) business. Lal being innocent is confused. Both brothers get angry and Lal finanly decides to buy a Bus.

Janardhanan recommends Innocent as driver and Jagatheesh as conductor and forces Lal to accept them as employees. Mammukoya serves as cleaner.

Revathy poor girl asks for a discount pass. Boby Kottarakara on behalf of Lal refuses and Revathy gets upset.

Innocent a poor driver starts lal's problems by knocking out a "Petti Kada" and costs him Rs 8000. When Lal abuses him, he is threatened by Murali a Bus Union Leader. Srinivasan a strict RTO adds to lal's woes declaring his Vehicle unfit often. Innocent hits Revathy and Lal begs Revathy falling on her legs to get rid of police case and Revathy agrees in exchange to monetary help to her family.

Lal gradually gets into debts. The family gradually boycotts him and not even inviting for food at all. At this time Ulsavam comes and Bus runs for 3 days non stop. Jagatheesh escapes with all the money. Lal mortgages the bus for his debts and becomes conductor. Mean time Revathy gradually comes closer to him.

Union Leader Murali threatens Lal to give the Job back to Jagatheesh. Lal refuses and one day he finds Jagatheesh on the road and gives him some slaps.

Jagatheesh with the help of Murali, initiates a strike against Lal and Labor officer Thilakan tries to make a compromise without success.

Lal gets court order to break strike and in revenge Murali with force breaks the bus. Thilakan supports Lal and the bus owner association refuses to support Lal fearing Murali.

Lal seeks help from brothers and they say some lay reasons and escape from him. Sangaradi also leaves even without bothering to hear Lal's worries. Lal gets closer to Revathy's family helping them.

Creditors take away Lal's bus as compensation. Revathy offers to give her house to get back the bus. Lal refuses and expresses his feelings in the last scene about relations he trusted and how much it cost him. Finally he leaves to Bombay to look for his chances in Gulf again.

It is only Revathy to give him a send off and the film ends with a sad feeling for Mohanlal Comparing the rousing welcome he received from the close relatives.

If you don't spend 2 drops of tears for the last scene, you must be Iron-Hearted.
