This is an effort, in a modest way, to trace the great contributions of KVM to the Tamil Film Music. As Tamil Film songs originate from the Tamil films, I am aslo taking the liberty of discussing the background of the films where KVM had comsposed- with the intention of adding spice. I believe this article would serve as a nostalgic tonic to the fans of old songs.

Thank you very much . Why I wanted the songs is that I can identify KVMs music by the style of his songs.

Kalyana aasai vandha karanathai &
Iravukkum pagalukkum - Are typical KVM songs.

Again, Padagu padagu - Also a KVM style song only

Who was the MD . Is it KVM only ??

1) "Ondru serndha anbu maaruma".... Makkalaipetra magarasi by KVM.
Actors Nambiar & M.N.Rajam (many people thinking that they are brother and sister, because of their intials "M.N.")

Singers: PBS & Suseela

2) "Indru Vandha Sondhamaa"... in the movie 'Chitraangi'

I love KVM in :

1. Iruvar ullam
2. Kungumam

I could see a different KVM in the 2 movies.

"Vandi urundoda" by KVM in Vannakkili.

Then, two more Films of KVM with different taste are:

1) Vaanambaadi
2) Idhaya kamalam

all songs in both movies are super hit.

Hi,

Ondru serndha anbu maaruma is sung by PB Sreenivas and a singer called Sarojini (not PS as mentioned by Sarada). I do not know any other song of her. Very well sung by both of them.
