| Looking at the list, Europe-ku ivLO position thEvaiyA? Historically, they had the strongest teams so they had a big allocation. Isnt it time to rethink that?
I have noticed this - every world cup some dull European team (Sweden, Denmark, Iceland, Slovenia, Greece, Switzerland ipdi yaaravadhu) will come and go through the motions. Dull draws, long balls ipdi. Atleast African and South American teams can add excitement(this is an outsider's view - am not very football savvy). The way the qualifiers are structured, it is inevitable that dull teams come through from Europe - a loss of form in a couple of matches can knock out decent teams like Netherlands, Russia, France, Spain during the qualifiers stage itself. Is there some federation politics in keeping the European quota high? And then there is England. All the excitement they generate are outside the footbal pitch. |

| And lot of the European leagues have more quality compared to Africa and South America.

Again, a question born out of lack of knowledge - arent the European leagues filled with African and South American talent. How, then, do the leagues determine world cup places? |

| The Point I mentioned prior , UEFA (European governing body) runs FIFA (World governance) and not the other way around - is because UEFA's revenue are mainly due to the leagues.

. When every other sport has accepted the use of video technology why not football?.

| And another thing ICC had done well, is to use video technology and balance it with the human intervention - umpires. Football is worse off in this area. Linesmen and Referee are limited and the games are decided by odd decisions. Like last night. |
