Idli batter - 2 cups (fresh without fermenting), Kadala maavu- 1/4 cup, dalda/hot oil - 1 tblsp, Rice flour - 4 tblsp; onion - 1 big chopped, curry leaves, coriander leaves - reqd, turmeric powder - 1/4 tsp, hing - 1/4 tsp; Red chilly powder - 1/2 tsp, salt - to taste
mix all the above ingredients nicely, if needed add 1/4 cup of water, then fry in hot oil like bondas. When it comes to golden brown colour remove from oil and serve hot with fresh coconut chutney.
