தாவணி கனவுகள் பெரிய வெற்றியை பெறவில்லை. முந்தானை முடிச்சுக்கு பிறகு வெளியான தாவணி கனவுகள் படத்திற்கு மிகப் பெரிய எதிர்பார்ப்பு இருந்தது. ஆனால் அது அந்தளவுக்கு வரவேற்பை பெறவில்லை. இன்னும் சொல்லப் போனால் அதற்கு பிறகு வெளியான எந்த பாக்யராஜ் படமும் முந்தானை முடிச்சு பெற்ற வெற்றியை பெறவில்லை.

நன்றி முரளி சார். அதீத எதிர்பார்ப்புகள் எந்த படத்தையும் பாதிக்கும். இந்த படம் குறித்து வேறு எதாவது சுவையான தகவல்கள் இருக்கிறதா ? சிவாஜி - பாக்யராஜ் முதல் படம் என்பதால் கேட்கிறேன். முந்தானை முடிச்சுக்குப் பிறகு என்பதால் எதிர்பார்ப்பும், மக்களிடம் இது குறித்த ஒரு ஆவலும் எழுந்ததில் வியப்பு இல்லை. இருப்பினும் சராசரியாக என்ன எதிர்பார்த்து ஏமாந்துபோனார்கள் ?

Murali, no way i would question the rationale for this thread. I understand it has its own importance.
But movies like Chiranjeevi are a blot on him. Even granting the logistical nightmares, there is hardly any spark in the movie to suggest that given time and budget, the makers would have made a half-decent film.
One could say the same of IR, my other unquestione icon, that he had worked in 80% duds. But then music per se can be kind of enjoyed even when divorced from the film so it is less difficult to access his genius. Whereas the dumb films that sivaji was part of alienates people from his genius which is really my gripe.

சுவர் இல்லாத சித்திரங்கள் [1979]

ஒரு கை ஓசை [1980]

மௌன கீதங்கள் [1981]

இன்று போய் நாளை வா [1981]

விடியும் வரை காத்திரு [1981]

அந்த 7 நாட்கள் [1981]

இப்படி ஒவ்வொன்றும் வித்தியாசமான கதைகள். ஆகவே அடுத்த படத்திற்கு எதிர்பார்ப்பு எக்கச்சக்கமாக இருந்தது. பட அறிவிப்பு வந்தவுடனே ஒரு கோடி முப்பத்தி ஐந்து லட்சத்திற்கு அனைத்து ஏரியாக்களும் விற்றுப் போயின. அன்றைய நாட்களில் இது ரிகார்ட். ஆனால் பாக்யராஜின் தனிப்பட்ட வாழ்க்கையில் சூழ்நிலைகள் மாறின. அவரது காதல் மனைவி பிரவீனா முந்தானை முடிச்சு வெளி வந்த ஐம்பது நாட்களுக்குள்ளாக இறந்து போனார். அந்த அனுதாபம் சில நாட்களுக்குள்ளாக மாறியது. காரணம் மனைவி இறந்த நான்கு மாதங்களே ஆன நிலையில் அவர் பூர்ணிமாவை திருமணம் செய்தார். அந்த நேரத்தில் தான் எம்.ஜி.ஆர். பாக்யராஜை தன் கலையுலக வாரிசு என்று அறிவித்தார். முந்தானை முடிச்சின் இமாலய வெற்றி வேறு. இதெல்லாம் சேர்ந்து அந்த சிறந்த திரைக்கதாசிரியரின் திறமையை பாதித்தது.

அவர் நடிகர் திலகத்தை படத்தில் ஒப்பந்தம் செய்ததே படம் வாங்கிய விநியோகஸ்தர்களுக்கு ஒரு கியாரண்டி கொடுக்கத்தான். ஆனால் ஒன்று சொல்ல வேண்டும். அவரது குரு பாரதி ராஜா இதற்கு பிறகு முதல் மரியாதையில் செய்ததை அவருக்கு முன்பே முயற்சித்தவர் பாக்யராஜ். நடிகர் திலகத்தின் கதாபாத்திரத்தை அவர் உருவாக்கிய விதமே அதற்கு சான்று. அந்த ரிடயர்ட் மிலிடரி ஆபிஸர் மற்றும் பார்த்திபன் நடித்த போஸ்ட்மேன் பாத்திரங்கள் தான் அந்த படத்திலேயே ஆரம்பம் முதல் இறுதி வரை இயல்பானவர்கள். மற்ற காரக்டர்ஸ் எல்லாவற்றிலும் ஒரு சினிமாதன்மை இருந்தது. அது வரை வந்த பாக்யராஜ் படங்களிலெல்லாம் இயல்பான மனிதர்களை பார்த்த மக்களுக்கு இந்த சினிமாதன்மை பிடிக்காமல் போனதும் அந்த படம் எதிர்பார்த்த வெற்றியை பெறாமால் போனதற்கு காரணம். மற்றப்படி சுவையான செய்திகள் என்றால் ஒரு நாள் நடிகர் திலகத்தை படப்பிடிப்பு இடத்திற்கு வர சொன்ன நேரத்திற்கு முன்பாகவே பாக்யராஜ் படப்பிடிப்பை ஆரம்பித்து விட, நடிகர் திலகம் அதற்கு ரொம்பவே பீல் பண்ணி மறுநாள் சொன்ன நேரத்திற்கு அரை மணி முன்பாகவே போன செய்தியை நீங்கள் படித்திருக்க கூடும்.
