| PR, " தொலைந்து போனவர்கள்" came as a weekly serial produced by Chola creations (ppl who made Thalai vaasal), directed by Selva. It was telecasted during the early 90's (or late 80's, not sure) in DD. It was a well made serial. Actor Rajesh played Damu character and "Thalaivasal" Vijai played as one of the friends. It was so engrossing that I used to be there punctually in front of my TV set every week.
I have not read the book though. |

| Ever since its release, I've been hoping to buy Jeyamohan's " Vishnupuram ", but somehow I have refrained from doing so. Even during the Annual Book Fest, I used to pick it up but at the last moment will drop it and finally end up buying other books. So strange !
So much has been said and discussed about this book in various magazines but, would be glad if anybody here could throw some light on this. And, how strong would you recommend it to me ?? |

On reflection, it's actually quite amazing how the Kurunaval has emerged as a literary form in Tamil - it is popular in some European languages as well, but it's quite marginal in English.| From: P_R on Tue Jun 30 2:10:52 2009. | [Full View] |
