Granted there were some brilliant English Poets. But, Most of the Great literature, songs and stories of the West are really Sanskrit and Hindi literature translated and modified with name changes.You see, a couple thousand years ago, when there was no real British Empire, the Europeans flocked to India and studied their Sanskrit, Hindi and other languages, dominated the then Maharajas, took over the Spiritual, Cultural, Social and Governmental structures of the land, tried to conquor and enslave the people and bring back these principles to the West and call it their own. If you would look at the Crowns worn by the British, who ruled the world at one time, and you would compare them with the old remaining statues and sculptures of the ancient Eastern India peoples, you wouls realize they are but replicas of the Indian peoples and cultures. Though the British / Europeans tried to destroy the Hindu culture, i.e. their buildings, statues and faith, it was too strong to fall. I am trying to say a lot in a nutshell. Well, so much for now. I am of India descent and heritage, born in the West as a British subject and love to explore history, people and cultures. I conclude by saying, we are all one people but, if we deny each other our respective rights, we are doomed as a people for if you thief a persons heritage and call it your own, you have stolen his life. We cannot know where we are going to if we do not know where we come from. It is like the Muslims, they are the youngest people religion wise in the world. They do not know that when Ghengis Khan came on the scene and he had but a small band of followres. They then invaded India and tortured the hindu people, maiming them by the thousands and forcing them to convert to Muslim. They had no choice but to do it or they would have been killed. Hence the Muslim religion and people grew. Woewver if the Muslims knew this, they would realize that they were really Hindus. Fact: over 20,000 hindu women had their breasts cut off by Muslim invadors in an attempt ot convert them - check the Hindu History Books. Christ himself taught the real Hindu principles which the Yogis teach and was persecuted for it. I am not in the least angry for what I am saying is historical facts.
